Global warming!
Hi everyone,

I guess I am not such an advanced player as you all are, so my question probably seems silly. Is there any patch available to disable to negative environmental effects when global warming occurs? It drives me mad!
I've been trying to hack CIV2.EXE with a debugger but I have not been successful so far. Any tips (besides building solar plants)?

Don't use nukes and destroy any city that starts to build the Manhatten Project.

I get global warming with Nukes disabled. Problem occurs when two large civs go toe to toe. When I take a large city, it of course begins producing pollution at a ridiculous rate. I try to clean it, but my engineers are constantly targeted. Especially on a broad front...

If you really want to get rid of it, make solar plants cheap. That should help substantially.

Thanks for the replies.
But is there really no option to eliminate pollution out of the game? (not by using city improvements)

IIRC -

If you are in a game already and you want to disable pollution -

open the cheat menu,
turn off pollution,
save as a scenario,
exit,
load scenario

I don't have the game in front of me, but I think this option is available.
