Actually these polls mean little or nothing. We know that between 60,000 to 80,000 thousand people per/month take a look at our site, and the game will sell in the millions. So if we follow the polls after the game is release than we will know the real winner.

In fact there are only two games on that list that I will buy when they are new. Empire Earth and Civ 3. If War Craft put out a demo I will play the demo and wait a year or two and buy on $9.95 the rack.

but Civ III must lead!!!!
anyway, WC III will sell alot, but it will be a big disappointment.
why? because when the project began, like 3 years ago, it was hot new technology and ideas.
but now, all the new RTS and RP games are 3D and have magic and leaders and stuff. so it's not different from anything.
maybe it'll be a good combination between neverwinter nights and battle for dune.

Another one of those goofy polls that lets you vote multiple times. I just voted 4 times (civ3 all of course )

Oh, come on. Who cares anyway?
Besides, I'll probably get all of the top 4. Blizzard has yet to let me down, Empire Earth...I'm not sure on that one but it sure LOOKS cool. Civ 3, well, duh, and Myth III...I loved myth 1 and 2, why not 3?
Seriously, even if you don't like these games personally, you have to admit: They are all great candidates.

Aint it frustrating though that a game about fantasy figures like Orcs and Elves and Fairy-Queens is the most popular? What does it say about society?
To vote multiple times: open multiple windows....or change ip....or go to another cpu...bla...etc...bla....

What is happening with Apolytons political machine?
Are we failing to deliver or ???

Relax
Please notice the question, they ask for "this year".
I do hope CivIII isn't a 2001 game...

hehe I've just voted for Civ3 as well - 17% - warcraft 3 leading?! pfft!
It's been half a year since I've posted and longer since I've been to Civ3 forums... I decided to make a single post cause, depsite like some OTer once said - when a person disappears from Apolyton they're assumed to have gotten a life - well, I miss my roots... *spine tingles*
Nice redesign... and keep up the suggestions guys - and now i'll slip back into obscurity...

There is another possibility also available.
You are a CivIII alpha/beta tester and have to be quiet acording to the contract.

....and still they put most of their effort on that game it seems. Who said they are listening to the fans?
