Is the Hall of fame out of the game?
After checking the main menu I’ve realized that there is no Hall of Fame option (TechWins noticed it in my thread over the menu before I posted this) from the main menu. Does this mean that the Hall of Fame is out of the picture, or is it just moved from the main menu?
If it still is in the game I would like to have one Hall of Fame for each difficulty, and one for all (as the one in Civ 2). That means that you could enter the Hall of Fame on a difficulty, but not in the main list, as some Chieftain had better score than you.

Thanks for giving me credit for the noticing of that there's no Hall of Fame option.
I really hope there will be a Hall of Fame option. I like your idea about one for each difficulty level. Another idea I'd like to see is a link to the replay for that game. That way you wouldn't have to load up the game and see the replay. Plus some people might not remember after a while what the name of the game was saved as.
Hopefully they just haven't added it YET.

If they're going back to the ending that Civ 1 had that means they're going to implement a zoomed out replay of the whole game, in which you'll be able to watch how the whole game progressed for all the civs. I always loved this feature of civ 1, because it gave me the chance to see the "big picture" that I couldn't see while playing the game.
There's no reason there couldn't be a Hall of Fame too.

The hall of fame should also have a "scenario" section where all of the players' best scenario games would be saved.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I think SMAC didn't have the Hall of Fame on the main menu, but only when you were in the game\after finishing(am I remembering right?). But SMAC had the replay as Civ1 had. I think they will do it like that, they just have to have the Hall of Fame in!

I am certainly hoping that there will be a Hall of Fame... however, there is one thing that I feel could be improved: in Civ 2, every time you retired from a game (even if just to see the powergraph etc.), you would get an entry in the hall of fame, which means that if you retire five times in a single game in which you have high scores, the entries would replace any other games in the Hall of Fame completely.
I would like it so that the Hall of Fame only had one entry for a single game so that when you retired or the game ended, an earlier and lower high score of the same game would no longer be visible. This way, the Hall of Fame would indeed contain the five best games you have ever played, not just different retirement years in a single game. (And I know, you can always use the Quit command to end the game, but most of the time you want to retire anyway to see your score, powergraph, replay etc.)

Com'on,
every game has some kind of a hall of fame / topscore list etc.
A game can't do without such a thing.
