no more swammmmmp please!!
Is there a way to edit the game file of civ2 so i could eliminate all pollution? I like to enjoy an all out nuclear warfare. I know like for alpha centauri, i could edit the text file, but I cannot find it for civ2
secondly, I had used "cheat", "edit scenario", and click on elimiate pollution, but pollution still occurs.

Build a horde of engineers to clean up the mess you make.
If you try the scenario pollution toggle, you need to then save the game as a scenario, quit, select begin scenario, and select your newly made scenario. Nukes will still cause pollution, this toggle is for production.
Good luck!

If I'm right, you can modify it in the "rules.txt" file,...

If you're setting it up as a scenario anyway, provide plenty of Solar plants. Give them in place of hydros or nukes to your and other civs. Those go a long way in solving the global warming crisis.

i am with rasputin there. Nuke the sonofa***** to hell, win the game.
but i spose it does take of the civ score, but still, what site could compete with the continous nuclear destruction ravaged upon an enemy. sometime i just nuke and dont conquer, just to delight in the mess and havok HE will clear up

If you have ToT, I think you can modify it so that pollution is actually beneficial to your score... not that anyone plays for score anyway...
And yes... sometimes I nuke, but don't bother to send in troops. In my experience, the AI has never cleaned up pollution, even its own, so unless you conquer, you're pretty much stuck with the pollution... it's fun to see the AI wallow around in the mess you made

Do people still actually look at the civ score ? I never do (Not that I win that often) But just beating the Damn AI is enough without trying to rack up the highest civ score... escepiacly as that usually means leaving one little AI city alone long enough to collect all 255 Future techs !!!

I've seen it happen.
I've even seen AI's clean up my mess - Maybe you should play against female leaders more often...
