yea. the low food makes it hard to hold anyway.
and with the new happiness / city # factoring, you'd probably want your cities to grow bigger.

Those aren't actually on the peak of a mountain..... I don't think mountain cities should be blocked (food limitations are good enough)

Montreal's not on mountain; it's on a tiny little hill. Trust me, I live here. The "mountain" rises all of about 500 feet.

Keep in mind that a mountain square isn't a single mountain. It's many, many mountains together represented by a single graphic.

Well good old AH certainly starts some decent threads.. well and truly deserving of his deity title , unlike some who never start good threads worth posting to ..

Valleys are usually on rivers duh!
If so-called mountain cities are built in valleys why should they get the defence benefit of mountains?

Duh. because you have to attack them through the pass. narrow treacherous footing (relatively). pick them off as they come through.....
are we really going 2 pages arguing whether or not to argue about this subject?

I am in total disagreement with this. Unless you're being sarcastic.
Oh yeah, thanks to everybody on the first page who just restated what my original statement was. We can never have enough people who are so creative.

Sometimes I just don't understand Raz. Oh wait! Yes I do. Rasputin is hereby nominated to the title of Ass-Kisser of the Gods.

Since we are using a computer map and cannot place valleys and plateau, we should allow a city to be built on a mountains. Here in California we have several small Cities built on/in the mountains. San Francisco is located on small hills to small mountains. In fact the whole San Francisco Bay Area is from Low Lands to over 4/5,000 foot Mountains.

I diffently wouldn't call AH a god. If he's a god then we're in trouble because that's one dumb god. One reason why I know he isn't a god is that most gods use logic and reasoning.
There are endless amounts of reasons why cities should be able to be built on mountains.

TW, the Gods comment is in reference to AH's new status as a deity (though a minor one, I'm sure).

No it wasn't - it was built in valleys, except for some small religious and administrative centres.
