Republic: The Revolution - too good to be true?
(For those who didn't know, Republic: The Revolution is upcoming strategic game where you have to take control of small ex-Soviet republic. There are million people, all individuals, that you can hire, eliminate, try to control by various means, or try to do anything you like to them. Graphic is extremely detailed, and you can, for instance, zoom on a pot of flowers and see that it's an individual object, like everything else. It's supposed to be coming out in late quarter of 2001 and be working on 266mhz Pentium. )
So. Is it too good to be true? Because if it is all it's supposed to be, it's going to be truly mind-blowing.

Of course, what they don't say, is that there will only be 1 million people when you happen to have a 1.4Ghz with 1Gb RAM or something like that.
Folks with a 266 will have to settle for 100 people and no graphics
But.. it does sound great

I certainly love the idea but I do fear that there will be problems with the system as I understand it that will make actual gameplay more of a chore.

I certainly don't see why that level of graphic detail is needed.
Stop spamming Andz.

It sounds great, but the guy who is making it is a protege of Peter Molyneaux.
Wonder if this game is going to be a let down like Black and White? I liked B&W, but it just wasn't as good as it sounded from all the previews interviews and the works.
