only rules are the ones i listed. (since we are going turn based attacking is fine, but i prefer if people didn't start a war early prolong turns...)
tech paradigm won't change...

I've responded to the request for civ/player assignments (from another thread). I trust they will be satisfactory. However, it seems to me that you need a good map to give everyone an honest start (and you are all on your own after that), of course). I can make one in about 2 hours. with everyone having no extra techs and you all starting in balanced terrain.
I just need to know what settings and whether you want huts, continents vs islands etc, or not.

I've just looked on the map. I must say it's so silly,but if everyone wants to play on it,so be it.
I also prefere no tech trading,you wanna tech - steal it as every honest person do
Why not embassies? What difference does it make? I like to play with foreign minister when waiting for my turn. It's my only fun once i stop micromanaging (am not saying mm-ing is fun).
Do I have to unzip that map in some particular directory or I can leave it where it is (eurodip scenario) ?
Please everybody confirm your intention to play on friday 6PST.

SF embasies was only a suggestion. Tech trading will be open for debate depending on how fast the game progresses...
Everyone has already confirmed they can play and that they will be there.... And no there will be no need for anyone to make a folder etc... I will convert the .mp file to a .scn and off we go...

I'm against caravans to other civs. A few other proposed rules are borderline exceptional, but caravans to other civs has to go.
SF will you consider simul moves just for the first few millenia? On such a huge map and with 1x movement there will be little to no war in this period, and we can all agree on no attacking first contact, turn based respected if you choose war after that.

ya caravans to other civs is bad... especially with me arri and nappy right next to each other. we would have spaceflight by the time the rest of the people got invention
I removed all the huts and made the map file a SCN. You won't need this file to play

why no caravans to foreign civs.. surely that is integral to civ 2 philosophy, but that is just my opinion , it is after all your game

me and arii know how to rape the trade system. making 10,000 gold a turn + 3 techs a turn doesn't make it fun for everyone else.

no city swappings like that....
only apollo is allowed.
no SDI (allows for cruise missles to be used)
nothing that would be considered a cheat
no tech trading
no huts
no city bribing
we will go over the rules in the game.
we have 7 players. This means that even if you are far behind its easy to catch up. For instance makeo could be fighting the greeks, then load up a bunch of dips and sail to persia and go tech stealing....

SDI's should be allowed. You may use cruise missiles on ships or field troops. I am still waiting to see one in my game. So far I've seen fighters and battleships.
Berz...some cities should have factories. All of them if possible

From Spains eyes, Smart Fart (France) is kicking serious ass, and has probably settled the rich archipeligo once known as the U.K. He arrived at philosophy surprisingly early, and is bordered by all other empires - a sure candidate for the game's "Techs R Us". Persia has been taking advantage of WLTKD very successfully, which is seemingly at a cost of less cities and a higher lux rate. The Persians have slowly befriended the dear Spanish, together they have loosely drawn settlement borders to abide by - down the 38th parallel. I find myself (Spain) in a fairly strong position right now. The high unit count is result of a prolonged monarchy, which I believe is better in the long run when milked properly (especially in Spain's site/situation). All other nations are probably republics, can Democracy be far ahead?
Keep in mind this does not count any infrastructure or tech disparities that surely exist. I haven't a clue what is going on in the East either, and have seen Markus explode to the lead from *worse*. Let's just hope the nukes don't show up before the West has a good idea of what's going on. That's all for now. More stats, maps, and maybe even pretty charts as the game progresses

SF can play on sunday, just need to hear from makeo. But it seems like we will have a sesson tomorrow and thursday.
I won't be racing ahead any time soon. I can't even celebrate at 80% lux. I should have given a babs a few trade specials as stupid rivers pretty much destroy inter city trade. but i will live, its nothing like the mil dip game where all i had where white moutains and plains at the start. lol
