On the box. All the names of Apolyton subscribers over the six sides of the box. And on a leaflet inside the CD jewel box, for good measure.

It' s the main reason someone noted that proposed Civ III box seems with a bit dark, dull pattern: are our names, written down in thin font, that make a strange pattern if you look at the box from some distance.

The reason Firaxis is in trouble with game release and bad map graphics is that they are diverting every graphic artist to find a way to fit Required HW, Copyright issue, Marketing nonsense, over a box full of thousands of Apolytoners nicknames.

Someone is planning on making a bit of money.

www.windows2042.com is going to be mine. Will come to fruition on my 65th birthday ready for my retirement and will pay for that world cruise and gold plated zimmerframe

thats why they renamed windows 2001 to windows XP to prevent people taking the web address i guess, a lot of movies do the same, they dont always use the obvious oens as some wise guy buys them early hopeing for big bucks but the industry then jsut rename sit sometihng else ilke if civ3 is taken then firaxis could use smc3.com

Fair point, I have come across companies do that before. There are usually so many permutations of one name that it isn't usually difficult to find something simple and easy to remember. If civ3 had gone, it would have been civiii or civthree of civilization3 I expect...

i bet they would have chosen civ-3 or civilization3...BTW, when are they going to put the site up? I think they should put a timer on it that counts down until the new site is uploaded, drive the apolytoners crazy and another one that counts down until the release date that just blinks 12:00 like my stupid VCR
