The USA have been the only global power to emerge from the Americas, and as such they should stay in the game (so I can kick their sad ass).
It will be interesting to see the state of play in 2050 (if I live that long). Apparantly China will relcaim pole-position, but personally I think America will dominate for at least the next 100 years as well. And that's not a bad thing.
