I am a really good cheater
About a year ago before I got my new computer I discovered a little bug. I guess it couldn't really be termed as "useful", but I'm proud of it. You have to have a really slow computer to do it. I was using a 99mhz 32MB of ram 1 gig hard drive computer. It only works on 2x2x and it only works once you get to a certain point in the game. You have to have alot of cities, say 50 or so and with a good amount of units. And your cities need to be fairly good sized. The reason behind this is because it slows down the computer and makes it "lag" in a processing sense. Ok, take a settler and hit I really really fast. Like 4 times in a second. If you hit it fast enough and if your computer is slowed down enough you can build irrigation in 1 turn. Anyone have a slow enough computer out there?

What's the fun of cheating ??
it's like faking an orgasm if you're a man !
Acting like you're having a good time, but in fact you haven't.
I completely miss the point !

Yeah, that one is right up there with disbanding a unit multiple time to get lots of shield from a warrior. Since I usually host, I have never been able to do those lag cheats. Needless to say, they are frowned upon.

only lag thing i get is slow moving units, i even tried taking advantage of lag once but it jsut made me waste the time remaining trying to disband that warrior.... Damn I hate Timers

Many people had said you were a cheater, now that you say so , well then it must be so.
I would assume all reasonable players would not use lag cheats such as this.

THe morons have come to play, let the games begin
It's not a lag cheat first of all, it has to do with processing speed not your internet connection. Second of all since it's 2x2x why would you need irrigation anyways? Do you see any irrigation in my games?
"Yeah, that one is right up there with disbanding a unit multiple time to get lots of shield from a warrior. Since I usually host, I have never been able to do those lag cheats. Needless to say, they are frowned upon."
Not even close, this has nothing to do with internet lag. Not to mention the fact that one is way more useful than the other.

Ok, you're talking about something different.
Were you in an MP game?
If yes, were you hosting?
And yes you're right, extra shield are a little more useful than irrigation, but I could see some benefits.
Hmmmmm, interesting.

Since you're on a roll, will you tell me how you put that Explorer in my capital at 3450 B.C. that one time?
I mean, that to me is mastery.
Of what I'm not sure, but something.
We're talking attaining the advance, building the unit, and finding my cap, all by 3450 B.C.
Now that's awesome.

I can't remember that last time 3450 rolled around and I didn't have a unit or two in my capital.

No... but I don't build exploreres that early usually.
But, it is totally possible. Eyes gets out on the board quickly, and tips a lot of huts... It is possible to get the needed science that way. Gold found in huts can be used to rush build a unit.
As far as finding your capital... he has published his "locating your opponent via demographics" guide (I still don't understand how it provides percise targeting east vs west... but he logically can cover north and south with his explaination if you buy into it... I don't, but I'm not a civ god either )
The one thing I don't understand is what rah pointed out... why didn't you have a unit in your capital by then

I'd had units, Ming. There wasn't one at that particular point in time.

If it was indeed double movement, it is silly not to have at least one unit in your capital... I can understand other cities, but NOT YOUR CAPITAL
And even in single movement... keep a unit handy

Slowwhand just keeps getting dumber, there has to be a limit
Well if I remember right, I started out with alphabet (at that time the host tech thing hadn't started up yet) I found map making and pottery in a hut, after I finish discovering horsebackriding I switched right to seafaring. That means I only had to discover 2 techs. But the real key is that I got seafaring out of a hut as I was researching it. I then rushbuilt an explorer out of an advanced tribe about 10 spaces from your capital. My first hut in the game was a horse. What's so hard to understand?

Sorry. I don't buy into that.
Ming can if he wants, as can War4. I don't.

Count the years. Say he's got a phenominal start and has an advance every 3 turns and holds that.
Not happening.

I'll never play Eyes again
He found my capital before 3500bc - TWICE
As for cheating, I couldn't be bothered with it.

if people think eyes is cheating , why dont you all just do turn by turn saves!!
leaving your capital or any city for that matter is calling for trouble, play on raging hordes makes it harder for eyes to find you so quickly as he has to fight of barbs first... gives you time to defend ....

On king 2x2x small map finding your opponents cap around 3500BC is quite common if you're fairly close and an early hut gives you a horse or chariot. Putting an explorer into you're opponents cap by 3450BC is certainly not impossible with the right hut techs and 100 gold or so from a hut, it's not as if Eyes does this every game.

Well... if you read his discription, you will see that he only had to research one science and the rest came from huts. Nothing seems impossible these days.
I remember when people thought that OCC was impossible
So unless you have proof... you know the standard rule here...
