Who is this "Solver" guy anyway? He certainly doesn't post in the CIV II section often.

if you look by his avatar, you'll see that he's in charge of CTP and SMAC threads and he does the interviews. the next interview is going to be of "Tau Ceti, administrator of the hillarious SMAC play-by-email tournament."

Give me a break guys... Our office closed at noon today. I got home, and took a short nap so I can play mp civ later. I just saw this
I started playing the SNES Version of Civ. I don't have any clue how long ago that was, but it was one of the first games I bought for SNES, and I got SNES when it just came out.
But Civ did change my life.
I was trying to make the decision on whether I would upgrade to the next version of gaming platform, or just get a PC.
I remember searching the internet (from work) for hints and tips, and saw that CivII had just been released for the PC.
CivII became the determining factor. CivII was the sole reason for me moving to a computer, and then to the internet on a more regular basis, and then, the rest is history
Civ is the only game I have on my shelf that has survived the test of time, and is still loaded on my computer

I PM'ed solver about making ming the next interview and this is the response I got: "I would do Ming as well for #5, but Markos doesn't allow me. As Ming is a staff member, he says that I must postpone it. Perhaps you'd like to ask Ming some questions, for future interview?
Solver"
So no official interview w/Ming for awhile, unless everybody goes and bugs Markos about it

Who is Ming?
Interesting you started with SNES Civ-1, so did I. I didn't have a clue what all those symbols meant on the city displays, but I was hooked.
Funny how solver's interviews lasted so long, and this one is only a few lines!

I'm not the one to blame here! Ming is Faces of Apolyton #7, officially. If somebody wants to torture him, mail me on this one. And Ming, you prepare for about two hundred questions .

I think an interview with Venom would be interesting.
Unprintable, but interesting.
