Enough is enough!
This is getting ridiculous!
For the forth straight week, I'm here on time ready to play, and I get "I have to eat" from two players, and Boann is not here again!
If you can't make this time, set a different one, that everyone can reasonalbly make.
I know it's difficult for five people to conect on common ground time wise, but let's all try to make that happen, so as to better enjoy the game.
How about it, everybaody?
Edited for kindness at Cavebear's suggestion.

Round III
Well, round three now see's us into the AD side of things.
The first wonder, and the only one they can build in this game, was constructed by Maximus' Romans, Michelangelo's Chapel.
All the other powers trail Rome, but the gap is not as great now as before.
The current Postions:
Rome: Maximus
Persia: Chris
Vikings: Boann
English: Cavebear
Souix: Slowwhand
Nobody else has yet revealed what wonder will be built, and much of the world is still unmapped, from Persia's point of view.

Nothing can be as uncomfortable as having the number 1 power as a neighbor. Fortunately, I have a choke point where we have agreed not to contend further.
The brave English are not allied with anyone, content to make their way alone in the world if need be. As far as the future goes, what will be, will be.

as long as you stay on your side of the fence Cave, we will not have problems unless of course you build a wonder that i want....lol
a few minor skirmishes with the mighty Queen Boann, has kept me amused during this game, i doubt i will make much more prgress into her terratory. i took one city of hers early in the game, just for the hell of it, but, later stages of the game will be interseting with no city bribing.
had brief contact with the persians, and saw no more of them
haven't seen Slowwhand YET, he's hiding from me somewhere
i'll find him eventually.
one thing i have forgotten, is how hard it is to celebrate in Deity, even with mikes. and defend two borders from prying eyes....

You have chosen Mike's as your Wonder, and it has given you a Great Leap Forward! But it will be your only one and you had better hope we do not catch up with better ones later! Sun Tzu's, Hoover's, Adam's, and Seti await.
Also, you may rest assured that we of independent status will be prying at your empire to try and steal some secrets.
Beware the seas, you landlubber! I am treating my side of the border as an effective island, and seeking the techs that you will not find as useful! Your lead will not exist at the end...

Don't leave out Bach's.
I still maintain there are early Wonders worth considering.
Copernicus, and in 1x, even the Pyramids that I loathe.

i actually was considering a science wonder, but in deity, i have a problem keeping everybody happy
i have approached this game like Eyes would, i will use my large numbers and size cities to obtain my science, and mikes to help keep them happy
i'm not planning on killing anyone off in this game, so dont push me to....LOL@ME

If you're going to emulate Eyes, we need to switch to small world, king, 2x2x. Duel preferred.
BTW, yes, funny sig line.

Well in that case -
- then it was quite serendipitous! And funnier than I first thought.
I hadn't assumed you were being *mean* anyway, and I "chuckled" when I read it...

Looking grim for tonight.
Boann sent me email from her work that home computer crashed.
A friend was to look at it, but have not heard from her this weekend.

I was having connection problems all day today, so it's just as well.
Looks like we need to change the day, Sunday is going to be out for me, It's football season now.
Maybe Thursdays would be good for everyone? Let's discuss it.

I play a game on Sundays because it is my free day to play things like this. If not Sunday, then the game will go on without me. Sorry.

My apologies for being so terse in my post Tuesday. I was a bit unsettled by the events that day.
In any case, it looks like boann will not be able to play on the 16th because of her computer problem.

Ahhh. This must be the one.
Yes, we know Chris is ok in the body.
He was 7 blocks away, his wife Maria in the Empire State.
Chris' office evacuated, and he's been working as a volunteer.
