Yeah, Isaac Newton's College only increases science production from the science-related improvements in that city. (i.e. Library, University, Research lab)

darn! I thought I might actually get to answer one for once!
You must be doing good if you have 38 beakers w/o any improvements... do you have good trade specials?

sand monkey: i do have specials - whale, swamp & silk.
fergus and silver dragon: sorry i didn't read that thread and u r absolutely right no library or university yet. thanks i thought it must be something obvious. my only problem is that the civlopedia doesn't say that - it simply says "doubles cities science output"

oh, and DD, if you didn't already know, the civilpedia is incorrect on what they state about Copes Observitory and Isaac's. cope's doubles science, while Isaac's increases it by 50%.

has this happened to anyone else
i am playing a game now where i am developing a super science city. i had 38 beakers being produced from my city when i got issac newton ( already had collossus, copernicus and a trade route). anyways after getting issac i still had 38 beakers. i waited 3 turns and still had 38 beakers. i reloaded the game and still had 38 beakers. my city is siz 5 with 3 happy and 2 enutral citizens. has this happened to anyone else - am i missing something. this has happened to me once before.

Let me get this straight.
You counted the beakers and had 38.
You re-counted the beakers and had 38.
You had another re-count and had 38.
I'd say it's time for a manual recount of all the beakers.
Seriously, I don't have a clue as to what's happening. Have you built a library in the city? That might have an impact.

Actually i relied upon the machine count all three times. i could do a manual recount though but i think the game will acept the machine count only.
Seriously this is happening in my game right now. And its really got me pissed.

I think it is probably the absence of a library, as previously posted. This came up recently in another thread.
