Rate of Tech Advance
In the OCC games the time it takes to research a tech is reduced by tech gifting to the ai.
Since there seem to be a lot of bugs in the MP version related to the host, ie free techs etc, is it possible that the rate of tech advance could be related to how many techs the other civs (human) has.?

thats not a bug thats how it works. I sometimes wait for you to get a tech so my tech rate speeds up

Yes It's kind of disappointing that there is no reason to build a strong tech lead in MP, exept for the wonders.
