Where is the download for your personolized civ?
Hello Civ2 fans,
A while ago I downloaded a program to alter and store changes in the start-up civilizations menu. You could alter romans to be blue and military expansionist or store your own civ name, color, and city names. Does anybody know?
Thanx in advance,
Maelhavok

Post in creation and you will probably get the best answers. To change a Civ's color, just change what slot it is in in the rules.txt

I'm no expert, so here are the basic things I know :
City.txt - the city names
rules.txt - LOTS of stuff, everything is documented.
Again, everything is documented so it is easy to understand and modify.

There are other files but I dont use them.
events.txt is very useful for scenario makers.
and other files like menu.txt and labels.txt that change the labels and menus in the game.
For more detailed info ask some one who knows it really good. dont worry, there are many posters like this here.

Sorry jc - that doesn't work - there is actually a 'colour' slot in the rules.txt [leaders] section - but as has been said above - all is documented...

Thank you Builder. I changed some parameters and stored my personal tribe and it worked! I would not have known where or how but for your matter-of-fact response. I am modifying my own scenario now. I'll also go to creation board. Thanks again for the heads-up.
Merry Holidays,
