This from the person who was the first to bribe one of my ships!

Myrilin (whatever) cash please, in small bills.

Bribing in the modern era is perfectly realistic. Here's the price list:

-African republics: a shipment of armaments to an ambitious colonel will suffice.
-Former Russian presidents: a few cases of fine vodka. Daily.
-Banana Republics: the amount of dollars that a CIA agent can carry in a briefcase.
-Switzerland: for gold, they'll turn a blind eye to anything.
-The chancellor of the worlds third largest economy: 30 million DM
-The president of the number one nation of this planet: a few fancy tricks with a cigar will do.

Ceterum censeo Romanem esse delendam.

And I'd bribe one of your ships again if the need arose, Horse. The fact is, if you remember, you didn't realise ships could be bribed. Ships are just another unit.

My question is, if you stack two ships, does that render them unbribeable?

This one doesn't have the legs of the Building on Mountain Hexes, Horse. Not controversial enough. Time for your next one, bub.

You know, until a game with Crusty two months ago I didn't think bribing ships was possible

The HMS Hermione, perhaps? In 1797, I think?

I would like to take this opportunity to thank finbar for keeping this thread at the top of the thread bar. 50 posts, that's 46 more than finbar's last thread.

Subconsciously he obviously wants this thread to succeed. It could also be guilt of course for bribing my ships.

Thanks again Mate

could you not consider bribing a ship as a form of piracy? or even a hijacking? If you don't sink the ship when you capture it, you make it yours, and the cost to bribe can be viewed simply as the expenditure that went into the planning and execution of the exercise, since reducing your treasury is a good way to simulate not getting something for nothing
