Alexander-

Not that I condone all this polling... in fact I am not a fan, but...

As for possible leaders for the Roman Civ, what about some of the Kings like Tarquin. Or the mythical founders of Rome Aeneas, or Romulus?

I'm not so knowledgeable about Aztec history, but what about Tenoch, Chief of Aztecs, and founder of Mexico City? Though I agree he's a longshot.

Tenoch was about as important in his time as the president of San Marino today...

I'd still go for Motecuhzoma II Xocoyotzin or maybe Itzcoatl (founder of the triple alliance) or Motecuhzoma I Ilhuicamina who greatly expanded the aztec power.

edit: typed Itzvoatl in the first place

Yes, she was the daughter of Togoril and wife of Gengis if I remember well. I don't remember if it was her or another "early" mongol woman who for some time ruled for her sons. I'll look it up.

Another possible mongol(???) woman could be Sorghaghtani Beki, the mother of Kubilai who was very influential

I voted Hammurabi.
I think he's the most well-known Babylonian ruler, and is a civ tradition.

I vote for Civ tradition too. Besides does civ really need another conquering leader?

I'm looking forward to play the game in the early phase, around the ancient times. when playing Civ2 for the first times, the ancient times were the most fun, though they lost magnificence over the years... now Babylonians and Persians being in promise some nice ancient atmosphere

ok, ancient is the wrong term, I give up

Do you think Hammurabi only sat in his office writing laws?
