Wonderful! In the interveiw with Sid Meier on the new CIV III site, Sid says that the new CIV will be an extension not only of CIV II, but also of SMAC! This is great news.

I'm guessing he means the interview at http://civ3.com/legacy.cfm, but I could be wrong. Haven't read it yet, but it looks like the only sid interview on there.

At the civ3 site, there's a Romanesque-looking guy wearing cloth and a laurel crown, smiling gently at the upper right section of the screen.
I forward that that's Sid Meier. The facial resemblance is striking.
