you people really should check out the map "neweurope" in the map section.... even though most will think i am biased, it is the best europe map i have ever found... so i just thinky you people should try it... Thanks

I’ve had a (short) look at the map. It should be defintely fun to play with. As it is always the case, one could suggest minor improvements (there’s not that much forest in Switzerland for example) but it is quite realistic.

I wouldn't bother playing anything other than the British Isles.There are tons or rivers and huts on the mainland and a human will dominate fairly easily,fairly early.
With this in mind,I tweeked the Isles a bit and set a favorably resource seed.
Then I went around changing starting spots to more historically correct sites making sure to plant them in the middle of specials.

China I put in the middle of 4 wheat.They built Leonardo's in 325bc!!!..very impressive.
