I was doing some Civilization research and came across this:

Eurasia leads a spiritual struggle against the Cosmopolitan and materialsitic Atlanticist order.

There are 8 major 'World Civilizations'

-Western
-Orthodox
-Latin American
-Islamic
-Sinic
-Hindu
-Japanese
-and possibly Africa

Thus, if Civ III followed his ideology, we would only need 8 civilizations

You could make a Civ2 scenario of the modern world with them - well, one needs to be cut (who's heard of the westerners anyway? ).
