Care to borrow some vowels? You seem to missing some!
Seriously, we can have them shipped over from the Danes. They have plenty.

i'm changing my votes: (again)
(oldvote+change=newvotes)
Arabs - 20+0=20
Turks/Ottomans - 20+0=20
Celts - 20-20=0
Phoenicians/Carthaginians - 10-10=0
Dutch - 10-10=0
Portuguese - 10+10=20
Poles - 20+0=20
Siamese - 20+0=20
Koreans - 20+0=20
Magyars - 20+0=20
Malians - 0+20=20
And locutus, i think that the 'manchurians' should be listed as 'manchus'. Manchurians refer to inhabitants of Manchuria. Currently they're mostly Chinese and very little Manchu. In fact, Manchuria is so Chinese that Chinese just refer to it 'North-East China', there being no point calling it 'Manchuria'. 'Manchu' is the true race that managed to conquer China, though they were immediately assimilated after that.

ranskaldan,
You had 170 points before? or is it a typo by you? (You remove 10 points in your calculations) Oh, and it is really hard to follow. Make a table (with colors that Locutus can't read )

I would hate to see a civ included in an add-on pack just because someone cheats and votes for it a zillion times, even if the "rules" don't say you can't do that. Not that I think it has really been done, but there is obviousely a problem with this poll, which needs to be taken care of somehow, or this will go out of hand...
Peace!

A swift and refreshing invasion
Apolyton historians will write this as ... the Polish invasion . They are suddenly everywhere, and like everywhere else, I see the democracy called on ( I wish it was ); but can it be used as a façade to stimulate some votes ( some kind of a hostile takeover )? I wouldn't be surprised if so, like everywhere else.
Locutus has the right to tamper this since it's his thread, though I find this quite refreshing...still our new Poles friends intervening here ( alter egos or not ) are making waves all of a sudden, aren't they??? ( please don't take this personal, again this is funny - and I have a lot of respect for LoD who is hardcore contributor with SMACx ).

I don't agree with this. Firaxis is by no means forced to use this list to choose the expansion-pack civs, (if there will be any ) and if they do use this list, they might only take the first five or the first eight. I thought Locutus just took the number of 16 civs, because that would double the civs in the game. (Please correct me if I iam wrong )
My point is that removing votes from high placed civs, may let them drop a place. For example, if people remove a total of 30 points from the Phoenicians and the Celts are getting 25 extra points, the Celts will become 8th, Phoenicians 9th (provided that other civs' points won't change too much).
If Firaxis decides to use the top 8 civs of the list in the pack, the Phoenicians won't be in. If you want a civ to be in the pack, you shouldn't remove votes from it, not even if it's very high on the list.

And that´s why I suddenly like the rule of 'only 20 points (1/8) of your vote for a single civ' although I advocated 40 points (1/4) before.
To all the fans of the Polish civ that still have 140 points left: I´d be interested in the rest of your vote.

Locutus,
to the absolute majority of your text you're right about "smaller" but important civs. After all this is a fun game, not a political statement of some kind. That is why there should be civs that though don't "cut it" as such like Byzantines( mostly Roman and Greek) or Mongol(indeed a barbaric gothering of various sub-tribes, same for Huns) are tremendously fun to play(thing of their special units).Siam is a very important civ for Asia.Korea even more so.Aborigines are truly important since they are the representatives of a continent. They wouldn't stand a chance after the middle ages but this is a game about what "could" have been, not what is already established as history. If else, you should only have Europeans,US americans, Japanese and chinese as civs.Zimbabwe had a huge civ in Africa from my knowledge.Spanish civ was grand for many, many years.Ottoman(and Seljuk) Turks would be a good addition(though I didn't vote for them since like many in balkans,I know what Janissaries mean[I can't think what the Evil Empire was thinking when putting them to AoE 2]).They did barbaric acts, but so did the Mongols. This is not a peacefull game.I hope that all the people(I don't belive it's the same person with aliases) voting for the Polish are not here only for a single vote.It is their right to join only for it, but I can't understand how can one care enough for a game to vote for a possible expansion, yet not give their input in a range of other matters related to the game.Unless they are not going to buy it,and in this case they are hurting myself with intention to buy it.I don't have anything against the Poles as people and I certainly don't want to offend them in any way, but their historical role is rather unclear to me .(Goes to find shelter before angry Poles respond to Post ).
Again, this was not to offend or flame anyone. For the first,if i did, I apologise, for the second notify me and I'll edit accordingly.
Edited after a part of my text probably offended Kolobos.Sorry friend! I sure didn't want it to sound the way it did! Anyway it's gone now.
