StrategicKings Invitational
This is not a tourneyment, this is a workshop. As I am about ready to retire from civ 2 play and move on to Civ3 and be the best in the world at that game as well, I find it necessary to impart my giant acumulation of skill and civ knowledge to those of you who are less fortunate then I and that would be every damn one of you wannabies.
First , I will teach the basics. you will learn to do things right and get a general idea of how to play so you pathetic wankers dont continue to embarass yourselfs.
Second, thoses that I deem worth will move into advanced civ strategy and aplication courses .
if you work hard, have the intestinal fortitude, maybe just maybe....you can be as great as I.
But dont count on , as there is no one in my class now, there will never, and I mean NEVER EVER be another StrategicKing.......
AND THAT IS TRUE.....ITS TRUE......

Come One - Come All
SEE the fabulous and majestic StrategicKing dispense knowledge and comprehension to all and sundry!
WATCH as he deftly delves into the digital depths of dastardly doings!
PONDER as he promulgates particularly problematic positions into positively pasteurized and palpable possibilities for power!
WONDER at how he negotiates newbies into nattering nabobs of negative numerals!
Never again shall you see his like, never again shall one of such inutterably ability, never once more can possibly any player match his skill and talent, his comprehension, his sheer instaggerability grace these pages again.
(Deposit your 2-bits at the front entrance, please... Move along, others are waiting)

An invitational with no invitations....hmmm...what a unique idea!
I doubt anyone around would comprehend your civ knowledge so don't waste your time.

Dont be shy, I know you might be a pathetic Civ player currently, most are.....But fortuatusly my genius college educated brain will find away to elevate you up to respectability. Sign up here quickly as it is a first come first served with limited positions available.
However, Slowww, your just to helpless a case, I have seen you play, and as a guy who flaps his gums more then i, I expect more from you thus you are not eligibale because your a helpless case.

Why does it take a game to learn this..... One thing i never understood about some players......
you learn something but decide not to share...... isn't it funny how its the "respectable" players who have such wisdom.....
and i thought i was an only child

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I´d rather listen to those who have teached you all your fragmentary knowledge: weird god (city management), kasya (naval warfare) and eyes of night (exploring).
unfortunately no one ever succeeded in teaching you the most important things in civ2: game ethics and fighting spirit

Oedo, good to see you are still alive.. However, you are of a generation of Civers that is equivelant to nothing more then cavemen.
Fragmented strategy? Yes, its true, its true. But the strategy formed by others is like pre-humanic ozze that somehow thru a fluke of fate spawned the birth of humanity.
But lets give credit where it is do...
1) mobile warfare...........Eyes
2) city micro-management.......Weird God
3) sea warfare.....was mine and mine alone...Strategicking
4) last and most importantly, the one responsible for elevating me out of the dark ages, trade routes....Markus
However I have taken trade strategy to a new height and can accomplish things unthinkable in your time oedo.
Like democracy by 2050.
If you would like an education, I will give it to you I am easy to find.

Thats 2x... given the right starting trade specials it can be accomplished any time. Not only that there is absolutely no challange in it. You play 4 or 5 practice games and you have the hang of it. You remind me of species, he thought he knew everything about trade after trying it a few times on 2x. once he switched to 1x 1x diety he got slapped around a few times and even now months later he is still learning to prefect the strat on 1x. I firmly believe most of what you 2x players try and teach is totally useless here. In 2x you have so much production and cash you can build everything at once. In 1x you have to pick and choose what you want to build. In 1x diety, when i have 15 cities. The 5 inner cities are set to build caravans, another 5 are building settlars and another 5 are building temples or settlars. Then once i am done building caravans 2 or 3 biggest inner cities build marketplaces temples and banks and grow to size 12. That is all you need to know about how to grow...

yes, even dumb-asses can learn and winning a MP game would be nice. Come on, strat, post your strategy so that all can learn from your glorious wisdom instead of a chosen few

You 1 x 1 deity players really amuse me. In 1 x 1 it is so easy to do a trade strategy its pathatic.
1st of all, you dont have a large, mobile army, that you cant see coming via city radius coming to kill you.
2nd, you know that your oposition is not hunting down huts like a maniac cause he cant build the troops because of the 1 production, also the 1 move reduces hutting all the more and deity forces more units to be built in city or temples and such.
1 x 1 deity is the longest, most boring, most restrictive and talent retarding way to play.
Furthermore, it is mostly a luck fest as if the start or huts dont get you, a slow tech rate verse a fast one where the other player is in republic for 12+ more turns then you, you lose everytime.
1 x 1 is where thoose that cant keep up with the rapid pace of a 2 x 2 game go to play to restrict the capabilities of thier opposition.
At this time, I challenge anybody to beat me on a premade board(not by me, but just a fair start) with no huts on a large or med board and a manly 2 x 2 format and full bribing.

you got the benchmarks (2x2x [king as I guess], trade routes, democracy in 2050). sometimes this is even more than a strategy guide. if you really want to know how it works, try it yourself . if you´re patient enough you will find out on your own. this can´t be that difficult.

I guess he means 2050BC. I just gave it a try. I set up a small map and started playing.
- direct path to republik, revolt, wlt
- then straight to trade
- built carawans and used some demanded commodities within my own empire
- masonry, construction, horsebackriding, wheel, banking, engineering, invention (I was lucky, I found invention in a hut)
2050Bc: voilà democracy, just in time . I have 9 cities, some of them with temples.
and all of this in my very first try. I think a hardcore explorer (like eyes) would have kicked me, but if I were alone on an island this would have been a proper strategy.
...and so easy!!!
