"Sid Meier's Cookies Box Civ III Limited Edition"
You know, the developer team have to eat something, between the long hours spent for Civ III.
Finally they have that huge stack of empty boxes left, and a bunch of graphical artists left with empty hands after they ended their job on the map...
A bit of re-painting is worth 13$, just do you a favour, don't scratch the painting to see what's under...
(They tryed to fake us with the words about Early Conceptual Arts: don't believe them ).
BTW, is Sid Meier's SimGolf Limited Edition announced on a golf cub bag?

Arg! I can't make up my mind! The LE is nice in a way...considering the extra goodies...but also *very* geeky. You know, the sort of thing that others see laying next to your PC and realize how odd you really are.
Also, who knows whether the LE will mean a delayed shipping? Perhaps the standard edition will be released sooner?

Hey! That's a good excuse! If someone accuses me of being a geek for buying the LE box, I'll just point out that true Geeks bought BOTH the standard and LE!

Wow, it's great, then this will be the first time I really want to get the LE instead of the standard edition Just that box is great...imagine how everybody would stare if I brought that one as my lunchbox for school The bad (read: VERY BAD) thing about it is, $15 is a lot of money for a poor student and for those who could want to give me such a present don't buy anything from the internet ...$15 is that with shipment included..? Not???

Pre-order it from a store, it's usually much more reliable, anyways.

That would of cause be best...if it was posible, but whenever I try to preorder something from the stores there's always something wrong, eather they have NO idea what I'm trying to preorder or they can only get the unlimited version. I haven't tried to preorder before, but this is what I've heard from others who have tried to preorder

Now that you mention it, alot of the time stores (especially EBs, in my experience) are run by complete retards who have no idea what they are doing / selling. Still, If you reserve it a few months ahead oftime, that usually gives them enough time to figure out what you are trying to order.
I had to wait a month for my copy of EU, and it had already been released for a couple weeks and was a best seller at ebgames.com, they couldn't even tell me when they expected a copy, or if they expected one at all, for that matter.

Does Firaxis have any plans for merchandising? They could sell t-shirts, hats, bumper stickers, buttons, coffee mugs, mousepads, and...lunchboxes. Admittedly, they don't have characters to show off like other games, but I could go for a t-shirt and mousepad. Plus they could make loads on the profit margin.

I hope the LE makes it's way to Australia. A "Making of civ3 cd", stategy guide, and not to mention the cool box would be, well, pretty cool.

I'd usually wait to hear some Apolyton reviews of the game first, before committing any money to it, but I don't think I'll be disappointed with this one.
Though I might wait until Christmas to "give" it to my sister.

Ah, here we go
Stationery: memo pads, paper, envelopes, etc. Get a whole series with SMAC/X and Civ leaders, tech trees, landmarks (such as Borehole Clusters), anything you can think of.

Mmm, Civ cookies. Now if they only had a CivIII LE catheter, colostomy bag and intraveous rig special we would be set! No getting up for nothin'.
