Is the Civ2 source of light to the east or west? Nemo's and BeBro's city art is illuminated from the west; Erwan and most others have the sun shine from the east.

I always thought it came from above the map... how can you tell if the map isn't 3D or tilted?

Doesn't it depend on the time of day?...although we can't be certain that the Civ2 world works exactly like ours...perhaps the Earth stands still and the sun moves...but then why would Copernicus's Observatory be such a big deal?

The original civ2 cities are also illuminatd from the east.
Perhaps one should mention other sun positions of scn city gfx in the readme...
