Question about colonies
On the Ask the Civ team part of the Civ3 site I was reading the question about colonies, it was something like "Why build colonies and not cities?" I was wondering if colonies, like cities, can be taken over by culture and can they eventually grow into cities themselves?

Yes as your culture increases, your borders expand. When they expand over your colony, it is no longer needed (the resources are now in your reach) and it disappears.

I think he means what happens if your OPPONENTS'S borders grow over your colonies. I can't answer it though

Colonies connot become cities, Colonies just gives you resorces that arn't within a city radius. I think the colony would disapear because it would be in the OTHER CIV'S culture borders
