AAARGH! Why no collector's edition pre-order in the UK???
Frustration!! We here in the UK (and Europe?) have to look at that Amazon ad on the Civ3.com website inviting pre-orders for the collector's edition of the game... while over here nobody seems to have heard of it!
I've checked eb.uk.com (standard edition only, no pre-orders); softwarefirst.com (standard edition only); and amazon.co.uk (thanks to the "Civ 3 released simultaneously.." thread -- but again, only the standard edition on offer).
So will we have to go without the collector's edition? Or get something rather different later on? (Like the UK "Ultimate Civ2" package instead of the US Multiplayer Gold edition...)
Have any other British ACS members found mention of a collector's edition over here?

That's still having it mailed from america, which is not what he was looking for I think... If (And I haven't really read the threads concerning it) it is released simultaneously then it should be possible to order it from a UK distributor and not have to wait the additional time for it to be shipped over from america, I think that was the point.

Yes, that was the point. If I wanted it shipped form the States, I'd order it right away from either Amazon or Chips&Bits. I just feel that if they ARE doing a collector's edition, it shouldn't only be available in the US; so I can only hope UK stores get on the bandwagon soon!

amazon.com does not send software to Europe, only books.
Would be much easier and cheaper if we could buy it locally. I do not want to wait a few months and I do want the LE.
So we have to buy in the US and pay all the shipment costs
