So, what we haven't seen yet is....
Anything whatsoever to do with the 'Sweep of Time'. I haven't seen any mention of endgame integration with SMAC, or the third game (is that still Dinos?). So what happened? Is this actually going to come to pass, or did the concept die when Dinosaurs was mothballed?

It was only a marketing concept. Never had to do anything with the game itself.
Although I would like to play a game where also the movement of continents palys a role. If dinosaurs are suited for that I do not know, Firaxis did not succeed in realizing the original idea to a viable game concept.

There were statements made at one point by Firaxians that the end of a Civ3 game could affect the beginning of a SMAC game. I don't know how much, or what else might have been involved, but it was mentioned as more than marketing.

the whole "sweep of time" thing ended with the death of dinos
you cant have a trilogy with 2 games
beyond the nice sounda of a trilogy covering everything from age of dinos to the age of stars there was the idea that you could play all 3 games, in some way contuing from one to the other(the easy one in this case is wining civ3 with the ac way and the continuing on smac. how you would go from dinos to humans in civ3 i have no clue )

I know absolutely nothing about computer graphics, so kindly forgive a perhaps stupid question --
Is it possible to import SMAC or other graphics into Civ III for scenario construction etc.?
Thx,
O.

... That fond of SMAC graphics, hm?
I was also wondering about CTP etc. -- any raw material for we graphically-challenged folk who might what to play with scenarios.
Before I hear e-moans re: science ficiotn, note there's enough military hardware on the drawing board (Ospreys, arsenal ships, etc.) to reflect nearly-immediate possibilities / choices. Some modification of the SMAC Rover graphics might even do for the never-really-deployed US Marine Light Attack Vehicle.
Ah, choices, choices, choices,
Yours from somewhere between here and Purgatory,
Oz
