Family Size: -I.2 Children?!?!?!
I've had this only once on this game I'm playing. I have VERY big cities (30-40 heads) and when I check the demographics I get for family size a MINUS 1.2 children!!!!
WHY??!!??!!??!!??!!

looks like your cities are full of computer nerds that spend more time looking at pornography
I've never had a negative rating. But I'm rarely number one in family size, even though I always seem to be ahead in population.

Are most of your cities "topped out" (no surplus food), with a couple that have food shortages? That could cause it.
I think.

Well, the higher the food surplus is, the higher is the birth rate. Perhaps there was too much hunger...

Yes, most of my cities have little or no food surplus. None of them have hunger but that sounds lkke a reasonable explination anyway.
I just got freaked out by picturing kids going back into their parents. *Shudder*

It all comes from celebebrating too much.
All that sucking up to the powers that be plays merry hell with family values.
Now it wouldn't have happened in the good old days when we worked hard, filled our foodboxes and chopped the damn King's head off from time to time.
Don't suppose the brewers droop helps much come to think of it.

It can't be...
I played Civ 2 to see what happens if I modify the rules - all terrain have 3 food, 9 shields and 9 trade.
So I had cities as high as 126 people. Far beyond I Love the King. And I still have that damm negative population...
