Alexander the Great's Portrait
I realise nobody knows exactly what he looked like, but why does his diplomatic portrait go against all traditional likeness' of him. Most of the surviving images depict him as being a bit stockier, and his hair longer and blond also. As things stand at the moment, he looks more like the Roman diplomat out of Civ2!

Actually, the older images of Alexander have short hair with waves and curls. Only after you hit the Renaissance do you begin to get the longer hair. And as I looked the images, the farther away from Alexander,s time you get, the longer his hair gets. Also, the longer hair Alexander seems to be a european image as the few middle eastern and asiatic images have shorter hair. I would expect that a soldier on campaign, as Alexander was constantly, would be more apt to keep his hair no longer than could be covered by his helmet. Doing so would insure that it would not get in the way during battle.

i like how naturally the portraits of the people are animated, but the people are disgusting to look at. I can't watch a single one of these leaders without turning my head and vomiting.

And then I have to clean it off of my cat.

Regardless of his hairstyle, this guy looks like a complete weenie -- hardly the visage of someone who inspired his troops to conquer the world.
