Where's the DEMO already?!

I'm trying to convince some friends at work that Civ 3 will be a great game, but shy of "loaning" them my copy of Civ 2, they're skeptical that it could be entertaining for more than a week! I've done my best to explain the qualities that the games' possess, and how you start a game at 9PM and suddenly it's 3AM! It is that enthralling, I tell them, still they are unconvinced.

Firaxis, I need your HELP! Please give me some ammunition so that when I got to bat for you, I'll have some bite behind my bark! Thanks!

the demo will be released after the retail version is.

these thoughts and any other that exit KruX's mouth are not supported, acknowledged, ot cared for by FIRAXIS.

If that's true, it's a slight shame, but at least they will be able to get a "taste" of it, hopefully it'll be enough(in content) to convince them that it is good enough to put out some cold hard cash for!
