Yeah. Unfortunately I had to trade realism in this area for game play issues. I want to create special bridge units to act as crossing points. I want these to be choke points also.

Caspian, I don't want to come across as a pedantic hardass (which of course I'm not ), but this thread is really for showing off new graphics, and not previewing new scenarios
BTW, good topic for a scenario

Sorry case, I didn't really intend to preview my scenario. All I wanted to do was show of my map cos I'm pretty pleased with it (I'm easy to amuse though ) I'll start a new thread to drum up some ideas.

About graphic effects, have you noticed new terrain graphics for AoK II?
You have just to seize up a Civ2 terrain tile and voilà, les joeux sont fè...
I think i'll use this for my SDC contribution...

Marko's TSFE scenario has nice Ar-234 unit. And one test of time scenario (europe in flames?) has it too.

Kalmer Are the Ar-234's in those scenarios Nemo type design? I think I remember there being one in Ansteig, or 3rd Reich also. It was the scenario that had the Maus tank as well.

Of course not!
I wasn't impying that my colour scheme was better,
just a change from the usual, the good thing about ToT
is that you can use Bmp files.
Giving you a bigger choice of colours than a Gif.
That's what I meant.

He meant that in MGE you are limited to 256 colors and much smaller icon size than in ToT.

Here is a challenge.
Can anyone create a unit graphic that resembles this photo?

A little manipulation of Nemo's Fubuki Destroyer would probably give you the ship you want.

Exile, I'll have a go at making that ship and will post the results either later today or tomorrow.
BTW, what kind of ship is it? Am I correct in guessing that it's a early 20th Century British torpedo destroyer?

DV; I like the vast majority of Nemo's units, but the smaller 20th century ship types are not part of that majority. They look too "boxy." A Fubuki class is too modern for this ship, too.
Case; right you are. It's a very early British Torpedo Boat Destroyer, and the abbreviation of this terminology is where the term, "Destroyer" originated.
Um, while exhorting others to patience, I've proven a little impatient myself and already created the graphic I needed. So . . .
Nevermind.

The 1st/2nd Balkan wars of 1912, 1913? A Dutch site by T Kolley seems to have some accurate WWI Turk navy data, including capital ship launch dates: Turk Navy info (Kolley). Make sure you turn your sound down before surfing there...the music sounds like a troop of belly dancers on the doorstep. Another site, tuneless, that may be of more use is Navies of WWI, Turkish
Don't know of anything for the other Balkan navies, though I'd bet that it was limited to armed auxilliary cruisers and smaller craft.

For ships stats and a few pictures, check out the various national navies at: http://www.warships1.com/index_ships.htm

Scott F,
Superb work!
Those WW1 planes are TOTALLY EXCELLENT!
I was actually beginning work on these very planes!
Man, they are so well designed.
Be proud!

Scott . . .
Your units are all very nice.
Except for one.
The WWI River monitor. A "monitor" started out as a relatively swift, low-freeboard riverine warship. The famous monitor that fought the Hampden Roads battle with the C.S.S. Virginia is the prototype. But by 1914, the monitor had developed into a substantially larger ship, but not nearly as large as a capital ship, or even an armored cruiser. The later monitors had very large calibre guns, up to 10-inch naval rifles. Here is a pic I located;

Very nice, Case . . .
and yes, I did see it. But what I'd like to see (what I might even use), is a graphic that simulates the very shallow draft of these riverine vessels. Notice in the photo that the deck of this craft is only a scant foot or two above the waterline. This photo is circa 1915, btw. It's a British ship, and might even be the H.M.S. Erebus (for all I know). Do you think you graphic hot-shots could take a whack at this?
I have ideas about what to do with the results.

Another small request;
I'm currently using a unit graphic for French cavalry that is actually a curiasseur (sp?) type horseman. I need someone to create a late 19th century French cavalryman. I'll include a pic so you can see what they looked like.

I need some help with graphics for a scenario I'm making. I need a paricularly mean looking iron gate (one unit graphic, east corner to west corner), somebody hanging by a chain from a rock outcropping and a really tall, volcanic mountain (preferably taking up 4 spaces). Could somebody tell me where I could find these?
