I need please...
Coldwar...
Planes, Tanks, Infantry, Special Forces and Ships from that era, secret and not so secret
and for History (1888-1950) one...
I needed Austrian Infantry, British Infantry, Ottoman Infantry (with rifles) , and anything esle that comes from that period, please.... like a dreadought pic....

Soundwave, in one of the first few pages of this thread Jimmywax posted a link to a big collection of post-WW2 units he has made/compiled.
You should also be able to find pictures for the 1880-1950 scenario earlier in this thread. In addition Erwan's units (which are probably advailable from the Civfanatics downloads section) are well worth a look.

I was thinking that maybe I would shorten the wings a bit and see how it looks.

Looks to me like the poor thing is just too darn big. Note, if you shorten the wings to allow the plane's right wing to fit in the allowed space on the bottom left of the image, you'd still have a problem with the nose going beyond the bottom right boundary. So, you'd then have to make the plane shorter, stubbier... which I think will throw the whole thing out of proportion.
Just my 2¾¢.

Can't you just shrink the whole plane to fit?

It will need a little refinement but I think the shrunken B-29 will work.

Why do you people insist putting the AF insignia on the right wing when it's supposed to be on the left?
As a rule:
When it appears as just a star it goes on both wings. When it appears as a star and bar, it goes on the left wing (and I believe the underwing of the right wing).

Uhhhh?
It seems to work for me. I used the IMG option thingummy to link to a folder on my harddrive. Left the .bmp in the same folder just in case it didn't "upload" (was it supposed to?). I am behind a firewall though. Maybe thats it? Anybody?

You need to upload your picture for us to see it, or link it to a file on another webpage. You cannot link to a file on your own harddrive, if you want others to see the picture. It works fine for you, because you're on your own computer [of course].

Blah. Will it work if I put it in as an attachment? - The text seems to imply that it will.
Actually I'll give it a shot - here goes :

If you want the image to display, it should be saved & uploaded as either a .gif or .jpg file.

Thanks for the tip. Nowhere to upload at present though. I'll have to make do with the attachment option.

clarification : you upload your image to this site by attachment, just like you did with the .bmp, its just that only gifs and jpgs will show, with bmp's you only get the attachment thingy. Anyway, it works as long as people remember to rename your file when dl'ing it. (for some reason it prompts save "attachment" with no filename). Anyway, inspiring work!

2nd most popular WW2 unit not here
The SU-76 assult gun based on the t-70 platform was the next highest volume unit from the soviets compared to the t-34 and was in service as late as 1982.
Has anyone got a pic of this!!!

That graphic was made by nemo when he went by MHN. It is not really a model 97, it was just a generic light tank. You could use it if you like since a real model 97 hasn't been made yet.

Does anyone have any examples of bridges? The only thing I have found so far is the Tower Bridge by Nemo, but that is not the style of bridge I am looking for. I am trying to edit it, but it isn't an easy thing. Maybe someone else has a bridge I can look at?

That tank was made by Captain Nemo and modified by Andrew Livings (I think that Andrew added the little guy in the turret)
FMK: the scenario on the bombing of Kosovo features lots of nice bridges. (it's a good scenario too BTW)

Right on...where are we at with that one, Nick? All I could find at CFC was a very small sceanrio regarding Bosnia. Didn't even have a units file with it, so we must be talkin bout two different things...
What I am looking for (and in the process of trying to make) is something in the order of a stone arch type bridge. Something you know, kind of resembling an 'm' in its shape. I might send you what I am talking about so you get the drift. BTW, its not for Stalingrad, but for yet another idea I am working on...
