That would be my extremely long WIP, Red Storm. I started it about a year ago and I still haven't finished yet.

I thought the Romans destroyed most of the jews in the 1st century, or 1AD, whatever you want to say, that would be a cool scenario, like having the famous hold out to the last on the mountian or hill (the jews) i cant remember what its called

Soundwave, the name of the fortress is Massada!!
And about the destruction of the Jews by the Romans: obviously, if my memory of history and religion isn't betraying me, it happened AFTER 1 AD!!
Remember the roman governor called Ponce Pilate? He was involved in Jesus crucifixion (hey, I chose the right day to explain this!!! ) and that is supposed to have happened around 33 AD (yeah, sure, not BC ).
And I think the destruction of the temple after the jewish rebellion and everything happened in 70 AC.

Gukguk! Those are great! Hey glad to see you came over to Apolyton. You should post some of your previous units from CivFanatics!
Yeah, there were three Jewish Rebellions, 66-70, 115-117, 132-135. How ironic on the date

A Jewish Revolt senario, such as one based on the Masada events and the destruction of Jeusalem in 70 A.D. would not be very practicle as I understand the Jews versus the Romans was about as good a match as the Eskimos versus N.A.T.O. Not that the Jews weren't brave, they were just out-classed. Yeah, the day of my posting is interesting but unplaned.

I was forced to write a huge history of the Jews from the Maccabean Revolt to 135 AD for school recently, so if anyone is doing an ancient Jewish scenario covering that period I'd be glad to help - does your scenario go up to Maccabees and the Roman arrival, Jacobite?
Anzac, the first rebellion ran 66-73 and the second 131-135. Also, I thought that 115-117 just saw scattered revolts in Jewish communities around the Mediterranean (eg Alexandria) rather than a full scale uprising in Judea.
IMO, the first Jewish revolt would make a good scenario if the Romans were the human side: make it a race to capture strong fortresses like Jerusalem and Massada before the scenario ended.

I'm searching for a specific unit.
If anyone knows where I can locate such a thing or can create one, I'd be grateful.
I need a caravan-type unit. It'll be called "Manufactured Goods." It should look like a pallet with boxes and crates piled on top of it, like one would see at a 19th century shipping dock.
Also, I'm looking for another caravan-type unit to be called "Raw materials." I have no real idea what this one should look like, but am willing to consider any gifs that might fit the bill. Piles of sacks filled with foodstuffs might work.

Ofcourse!
I like creating units, but not full scenario's; that's the reason why I post them here. If you need help with other units, just say it.

GukGuk . . .
We're on the right track and I do like your efforts. Could you possibly "squeeze" the boxes and bales together tighter for a more "coherent" image? Keep in mind that the manufactured goods unit will be moving sometimes, even though the raw materials unit won't be.
And thanks.

Thanks for reserving the honor for me Those units look good. Now does anyone have a picture of a WW1 ANZAC so I can study it and make a good unit.
Also I would appreciate if anyone could get me a picture of a Hungarian infantryman on the Eastern Front during WW2 *looks in Magyar Crusader's direction*

Excellent job, Gukguk . . .
Now for some more requests;
1.) A Meiji period Japanese infantryman
2.) A Russian infantryman from c. 1870
3.) A Cossack from the same period.
4.) A U.S. Cavalry/Roughrider type of horse soldier, from roughly the period 1870-1910
5.) A generic European infantryman (Spanish, Italian, Scandinavian) from the 1870-1890 period
6.) A generic Latin American soldier, late 19th century. (Argentine, Brazilian, Chilean, Mexican).
7.) A Chinese "Boxer" foot soldier from the Boxer Rebellion.
These requests amount to a tall order and I'll be grateful if you can manage them. Thanks ahead of time if you can pull it off.

While we're making requests, I'd like to chip in. If anyone could draw me these units:
- French AMX-30 tank
- Soviet T-55 tank
- French/British Jaguar fighter plane
in the Nemoesque style, I would be extremely grateful.

That's the one I already have, and although I value the work you put in I'm looking for something more like the tanks that Nemo draws for his WW2 scenarios; you know, facing forwards and slightly bigger.

Paul: I thought Jimmywax was making an AMX 30 for you? Also for the T-55, look on the first page of this thread. There is a T-52/T-54 by Case and I don't think the T-55 was different really except maybe in engine and armor specs.

Thanks a lot, Guk Guk! Those are all excellent
While we're on a roll, would you have any Roman people.gifs lying around? I'm looking for Roman people done in the original Civ2 people.gif style, not the 'realistic' style that appears in Imperium Romanum.
