CPU Not Supported For Pentium 4?

My old M/B bgave out and I upgraded to a 1.5 P4 and now after formatting my HD, and installing AC & Crossfire and both pathes, I get an error after I get past the screen that asks what type of game I want to play: Original or Crossfire The game then put's up a windowed message saying "CPU not supported, you may continue to play, but it may be prone to crashes!"

What's up with that? The game doesn't even play after that, it just goes back to desktop.

Per the readme file, change a AlphaCentauri.ini file line
from:
ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=0

to
ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=1
