You make some good points Qantaga and I can't say I disagree with you. I too vote for Solver to be replaced.

It is a great pity, but I do think we need to find a solution to this now. Solver's turn rate has been a problem since the game started and it would be a pity to see this game waste away.
I have now heard from a majority of the players in this game. All are in favour of replacing Solver. No-one has so far expressed a contrary position.
This being so, I propose to appoint a replacement. Solver, like others here I'm sincerely sorry it has come to this and I do know that many of the problems have not been of your making, but this game is in real danger of failing because of this situation.
If anyone would like to recommend someone to take over as 7th player, please drop me an email. I have one player in mind who I might approach directly, simply on the basis that I know he is a good player and a fast turner, but I'll wait to hear from you guys first. If I have no other suggestions, I will approach my candidate first and then post a request for volunteers on the board.
Solver, if you're reading this, I hope your email/PM/posting problems are resolved and look forward to seeing you in other games ...
cheers
Mis

Misotu,
Thanks for making a very difficult decision for us. We appreciate your help.
I would say that if you don't hear a replacement suggestion from one of us today, that you are welcome to go ahead and invite the player you have in mind.
Solver - if you are reading this, no hard feelings, my friend. This is only in the interest of moving this particular game along. I would be happy to join another rated game with you at any time.

Solver, I echo what other people have said and I wish you well.
I've sent a suggestion to Misotu for a replacement player. We do have some time to make the decision because I think the turn is with Theohall and he is away until the 24th.
And thanks for stepping in Mis.

I'm pleased to say that SITS' suggestion worked out very well. Please welcome ColDark to the game, playing University of Planet
ColDark's email is Colin.Darra@btinternet.com. His password has been emailed this morning. Good luck and welcome!

Re-reading a thread I noticed that Theohall is away until the 20th not the 24th....

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to play. I'm fairly sure that my recommendation is riding on the back of my reliability, not necessarily my ability.
I look forward to receiving the turn and getting to grips with the game.
I see that SITS precedes me. So he should know that I like to be contacted on both the following accounts...
Colin.Darra@btinternet.com and Colin.Darra@vistorm.com
Cheers
ColDark

I've sent ColDark a copy of the last turn I sent to Solver so he can check it out.

Welcome to the crew ColDark.
2118 to SITS, so you should be seeing a turn REAL soon. SITS gets them out in a hurry.

I agree with Qantaga and already emailed Misotu about it.
I also don't have time to post all my turns but I check the thread once in a while at work (during lunch hour) to see if things are moving.

MY 2118 to Levelisk.
Just checking that all the email address are correct as listed in the first message of the first thread. Anyone using any different address?
Looks like I inherited quite a favourable position. Probably won't take me long to mess that up!!!!
Look forward to eventually meeting you all on Chiron.

I just got a note from dinoarms. He has had a rather serious system crash and it took him five tries just to boot up long enough to get an e-mail to me.
He has secured the replacement components necesary, but they will not be delivered until later next week. So, he will be unable to play his turn until Friday.

Real Life broadcast...
"I am living out of hotels for next few days, so email capability will be sporadic at best, I am returning on Thursday evening when normal service will be resumed. During the next few days I will try to check my emails at least once a day, and get off any turns that arrive - Shoudn't matter too much in this game unless dinoarms can get back on line faster than he thought. Regards ColDark."

Just to let you know that the email addresses in the first message of this thread are the latest known to me, but I have not gone back to the original thread to update that one ...

Turn Passed to Levelisk.
Notification of tampering will be given. I loaded the game, it would not let me enter my password so I had to reload it. Second time loaded OK.
Sorry
