multiplayer game
Hi,
I have been playing CTP online for several months with a friend of mine, and now we decided to change for CTP II.
We bought the CDs, but unfortunately none of us was able to access the lobby of the server...
The "unable to access lobby" message seems to be known, but the "solution" provided by Activision isn't satisfactory at all.
So I wanted to ask all the players in here, first, if they had a problem or could easily connect to the server. Second, is there a solution as far as you know ? I wanted to ask you too if there was other servers than the only one appearing in the window (usa1.alink.activision.com). In CTP, there was always several servers.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanx,
Loeiz

Well thank you very much for this answer !
I'll mail you right now to have the file and the place where it has to be placed.
I'll let you know if this works.

For Udead and all those who might have met the same problem, I have to say that it works ! Simply changing the servers file solved the problem.
Thanks again.

Here is a adress of the servers.dat file:
http://members.aol.com/Jonny11788/ct...ad/servers.dat
To use the servers.dat file, replace your old servers.dat file with this one. The old servers.dat file should be in the C:\Program Files\Activision\Call To Power 2\ctp2_program\ctp folder if you used the default path.

I've had a similar problem; I go to play a multiplayer game and only 1-3 servers show up. I've uninstalled the game and delete all the remaining files & folders but so far it has been to no avail. When I reinstalled I still had the exact same problem.
I then spoke to Deity Master and he gave me a new server.dat file which Apolyton e-mailed to him when DM had the same problem I'm having. Unfortunately, the new server.dat fil isn't working for me. I have no idea why it would solve the problem for him but not for me.
So now I'm back to square #1. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? BTW I'm running V1.11 and I have a cable modem connection.
