Sandwich Eater Civ
I was thinking about the different civs in expansion packs, and thought, why not fictional/humorous civs? I'll give an example.
The Sandwich Eaters
UU - BLT which is an upgraded Trireme that has boosted attack because it's so delicious.
Leader - That Wendy's Guy, Dave Thomas or whoever
Special Abilities - Commercial, Industrious (Sandwiches can be sold, and since they are convenient for workers, they let workers work harder.)
I'm sure that the possibilites are endless. If anybody could come up with some others, let us know.

Hey that civ is allready in!! I can't remember what they're calling it, wait a minute let me see... Ahh there it is - the Americans!
American culture:
Taking all the different kinds of food from all over the world, putting them into a pile between two slices of bread, calling it a sandwich, and sending it back saying - it's american!
Impressive!

Nah, I don't like it. Civs shall have real names. Firaxis should work on more important civs to be added, not that sort of civs.

Hey, the idea is serious. Why not have fun playing a game instead of constantly whining about whether the Babylonians or the Mongols are more deserving of a slot.
Besides, a Sandwich Eater Civ is at least continental-neutral. Nobody's precious feelings can be hurt.

Why does this thread title say Moved?
It is still in the Civ3-Civilizations Forum. Did someone move it here from here to make it not top every time a new reply is posted, or is it a bug?

I thought sandwiches were English, and named after the Earl of Sandwich who invented the "ham sandwich".
'Parrently he also enjoyed the cucumber variety.

I know what you're saying BC, but if you read this earlier post from the thread "Which of the included civs is least important?", you will surely see that the sandwich can no longer be english - it's all been absorbed into american culture.

Anyway I know americans have a habit of calling anything served on bread a sandwich, even if it's got no bread on top, then it's an open faced sandwich.
So I guess they eat a lot of sandwiches!?

Given the size of some of them, they eat a lot of everything.

Aight, it's nice to know that having original ideas here is not popular.
I was giving an example of a concept that might be reasonably fun, but since you all can't seperate the idea from the poster, and would rather flame me than respond on topic, just forget I ever posted this whole thing.
If any mod sees this, please close this thread. I realized it's useless to try and post anything the least bit inventive on these forums.
I suppose I should go back to felching my blow up Sid.

Look who responded, Felch. Apparently there is no word for "creativity" or "originalty" in their languages. Forget it. Games were made so you could explore a reality that isn't reality (past or present). Convincing narrowminded folk such as these is a wasted effort. I'd keep Sid inflated for a while.

Okay, another civ.
The closet anarchist.
People who read the anarchist cookbook and such. Hate the government, and would create a violent society based on homemade explosives, and accidents involving homemade explosives.
UU upgraded spy, call it an anarchist, which has the ability to be used as a sort of cruise missle (single shot, high chance of kill).
Leader could be Nobody
And the Special Abilities could be Scientific, and Industrious.

The Obvious
The leader of the Sandwich Eaters should be the beloved Sandwich Maker Arthur Dent.
