News Flash From The University of Planet !
University Base
Chiron Year 2181

It has come to our attention that Provost Krysia's Krusader has mysteriously withdrawn to his inner sanctum, deep inside the dungeons of University Base.
He was last seen in communication with the Chairman of the Hive, Leader Radman. When suddenly, he seemed to take a turn for the worst, and rendering his apologies, cut the conversation short.
Several of the UoP's top scientists have also seemingly left their laboratories, their whereabouts unknown. Most notably, the entire scientific staff, from the 'Faculty of High Energy Chemistry' have been placed under arrest! And the Faculty itself cordoned off by police forces.
In other news...
Convoy after convoy of supply crawlers have been entering the base from the countryside. The usual amount of resources that they normally provide is sorely missed by the citizens of this as well as several outlaying basses.
Strange weather patterns, and lightning bolts that have never been witnessed before, dance amongst the spires of University base.
Could both these incidents be linked ? Stay tuned folks, looks like something is about to be unleashed by the diaboloical denizens from the University of Planet!

to those of you who have enquired: yes I am currently sitting on the turn pending the outcome of diplomatic discussions with Leader Radman, as the resultant decision will have significant impact on how I proceed with my turn.

Hive Secretary of State Stone sat quietly next to a cold cup of glistening ice tea, an ancient earth drink, listening to the broadcast leveled by the Gaian Minister of Propoganda, Mr. Goeb Bels. Oh how he marveled by the Minister's gift of spin and how he skirted the truth.
Stone sat thinking about each unspoken truth including that fact the Hive had accepted the Gaian peace overture, choosing peace rather than war. He thought about his choice of sending Undersecretary Chamberlain to the conference who promised "peace in our time" after accepting the peace plan presented by the Gaians only to have the Gaians attack the Hive forces who thought peace was at hand.
As the broadcast continued, Stone sat with incredible sadness as the Hive diplomatic corp even after the surprise attack, continued to seek peace with the Gaians.
Stone knew as the world would soon learn if they believed the broadcast, that the Hive choose to live in peace but others fearing their own insecurity and lust for power wanted more!!!!

Secretary Stone continued to work the phones throughout the afternoon talking to senior diplomats who had been sent to search for peace with the Gaians.
The Secretary grew to the realization that after continued repeated attempts accepting each Gaian offer only to have them renege on the accords, they were not truly interested in peace but rather conquest. He thought of the small ditty from his home town area, "They talk the talk, but can't walk the walk"
He picked up the hot phone, "Hello, Leader? This is Secretary Stone. I need to brief you on the . . . . "

well I gues in his haste to leave on vacation, knowhow2 forgot to post. Have a safe, good trip, Colonel, and we look forward to your return!
Now to the game: the Gaian Navy is proud to announce the Mind Controlling of the Hive's Revelation Base this turn (although it took me 2 naval probe units, daxxit!)! Also, the joint Spartan/ Gaian Army, taking advantage of a river valley, was able to assault and conquer the Hive citadel of Hand of God this turn as well! The Spartan/ Gaian Horde is on the move!
