Updated Gigamercator Map of the Earth

I have updated the gigamercator map of the earth that I had posted several months ago. If you scroll down a bit it's the second of the two.

No doubt some inaccuracies remain that I failed to correct, but overall I think it's close enough to need no further tweaking. I left the first one in the event someone preferred it over the widened second one.

I shall have a 'giga' map of North America ready in about six months (I shall be incommunicado for about that long), and look forward to working on that.

Have you changed it since you first put the second one up? I think I downloaded the second one a week ago already. Oh, and the download link is faulty.

I´m not sure if I like all the changes you´ve made. Borneo and Irian Jaya/Papua New Guinea look a bit weird to me for instance. I´m not too good at judging the terrains, so I can´t really say anything about that.
And something I only realize now, the starting points on both maps aren´t very accurate in some cases. But I guess the reason for that is mostly that the starting points should be worthwhile.

Will the North America map be "all yours"? Since the world map was based on Mike Strong´s world map, I believe.

Anyway, keep up the good work.
