Some "list of recent challenges" I'm thinking in particular of DaveV's 'AI Headstart Challenge' there is wisdom in those logs that should not be lost.
Come on Dan, Mark - give us the go ahead!

Gameleague is also making a Great Library. Go to gameleague.megaultra.com to submit your own strategy or to submit a link to a forum post you think should be on there. Only well thought out, thorough strategies will be accepted.

SG -
I thought that this had lost steam because the massive list of links I post periodically is basically subbing for a great library. basically, whenever someone finds a good link and posts to this thread, the GL is improved.
Heaven help me when these threads get archived and the links no longer work.

Y'know, it wuld be better if the authors summerize the entire thread into one long text, then have somebody set up a contents page and put one "scroll of wisdom" into each page which is linked to the contents page...

I can't remember who posted this, , and I'm not sure if it's worthy for inclusion but I use it constantly.
That would be the suggestion of making sure your diplomats/spys are on the furthest square away from an AI capitol before bribing a city. The difference in bribe amounts from one side of a city to the other can run into the 100's of gold.
Anybody else remember seeing this tip?

Yes and it is also in the Scrolls of Wisdom site despite some reservations about the latter's total accuracy. There definitely is a difference even with one square but the actual saving would depend on the distance as well as the AI civ's coffers.

Thanks for putting this together, jcarkey. I've downloaded the compiled document and I'm in the process of reading through it now. It looks good so far and makes for an interesting read for sure. I always had a weakness for longish papers on this game - gives you something useful to do at work while leaving Apolyton alone for a while.

Thank you! I am trying to do as much as I can. I am constantly being flooded by school work so I do as much as I can whenever I can.
SG: I'm sorry about that. I was just provided some disk space and am trying to save as much as I can, so I'm not going to do that good of graphics. BTW I use the newest version of Netscape and it looks fine to me.

Excellent job! This is a good arrangement since further notes can be attached to the bottom of each article.
My size 5 strategy link doesn't work, please fix it. Thanks.
Also the corruption and waste article did not mention that using roads to link the city to the capital can reduce corruption to an extent.

Sorry Xin Yu, I thank you for pointing that out. I thought all of the links worked though. I think all I'll have to do is rename the word file name.
I did not write the articles, I just arranged them. If you could write a little bit about roads reducing corruption that would be very helpful.

Right now, it's a list of documents that are on my website. This is (hopefully) temporary. We plan to then move all of the documents into a seperate, locked, forum. And BTW I have gotten a new web address. I wil notify you when I have finished the overhaul.

I noticed the idea of Apolyton's "Great Library" here. In my opinion the list of documents presented here is not ideal. Wisdom is very dispersed and often doubled there. I think that wisdom for each scope of Civilization's rules (for example science, happiness, pollution, bribing...) should be summarized on one site.
I tried to start this idea with Diplomats and Spies. Look at http://apolyton.net/forums/Forum1/HTML/001678.html?0#0

I posted topic "Too much of information" to Apolyton forum http://apolyton.net/forums/Forum20/HTML/001243.html
I consider just item 2) there is important for us.
