I request that we not use directed research, and with research priorities set to the faction's agenda. This is what we used in RP1. Anyone else have an opinion?

That makes a lot of sense to me and would seem to fit the Role-Playing nature of the game quite well. It would seem that we would be telling our researchers to focus their efforts toward faction agendas, but that we would never be sure exactly what they would come up with.
So, I will also vote for Blind research along faction agenda priorities.
