Ironwood is taking over Scipio's turns. I am still playing Christman's in his temporary absence. (So Mark will be sending this turn along to Ironwood from now on)

Password?
I needs Scipio's password. Would the moderator please pass that on to me? I'd prefer for this game to stall as little as possible.

The UN Peacekeeping force has taken a closer look at the monument near UN headquaters. It appears to be some sort of pyramid, and it even has a street address, which for unknown reasons appears to be:
Menu/HQ/View Monuments
All it says so far is that the Gaians were first to found their base, which is not surprising since they made to the surface earliest. Our faction stayed in space searching for additional survivors from the Unity while all the others raced to the surface. There is also a notation about first scientific breakthough on Planet, which by no surprise was done by the Provost and his egghead minions. But we of the UN also made the breakthough that very smae year (2106). The next entry on this arcane ledger will probably be "first base facility". Our engineers are hurrying completion of our first Recycling Tanks so that we might show the others the superiority of re-uniting the original UN mission.

Well, Googlie sent me a password. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work. So unless he's sitting at his computer at this very moment (and has a nice DUH moment ), the game will be delayed a bit longer.
If Scipio is around, send the actual password to ghoti@pacbell.net

[i]Thurgood Ironwood walked up to the CEO's office. He passed the secretary. "Good Morning, Mr. Ironwood," she said in her bright, cheery secretary voice.
"Good morning, Sally." Ironwood continued to the security checkstation. The officer waived him through, and he approached the door.
The computer chimed in with the expected routine. "Name?"
"Thurgood Ironwood."
"Please approach for retinal scan." He put his face against the scanner. "Identity confirmed. Please state the password."
"****," he stated confidently.
"Password incorrect, please restate."
"****," he said, in a sligtly different inflection.
"Password incorrect, please restate."
Ironwood muttered under his breath, "Stupid password system. It already knows who I am."
"Password incorrect, entry denied."
Ironwood took out his cellphone, and called the security technician. "Hey Googlie..."

I don't have Aramida's email yet, so 2109 to Aramida.
Ignore the tamper message. I got the wrong password the first time.

Anybody heard anything about Arima? The turn file has yet to be downloaded. If Arima's just not checking the board, could somebody give me the email address?

What's going on now? Who dropped out? Can someone post a current roster?

It looks like Scipio dropped out and was replaced by Ironwood to run Morgan Industries.
I'll leave it to our good and true CMN Googlie to sort out the current roster for us.
2109 sent to the Peacekeepers.

Turn 2110 to Googlie
Pod popping can fun! It can also add thing to the terrain that isn't really needed. Fungus is lovely, but adding two lots of it is a bit much...

2110 to mark13
Functionary Googlie activated the holomap and gazed at it thoughtfully. Administrator Yachimodo looked on expectantly.
"Here ... and here," Googlie finally said, pressing the command key and as he did, a small icon appeared on the map representing a future base site. Soon there were some six icons scattered in preferred locations on the map.
Yachimodo studied the locations and nodded.
"I agree," he said. "But it will take a massive effort and dicersion of our scarce resources to assemble the colony convoys and move them there - and do we send garrisons with them?"
Googlie pondered. It was tough trying to imagine what Chairman Christmann would do in these circumstances. His instructions had been both terse and sparse before he signed on for the reejuvenation treatment - one of the first to do so in the new colony.
"No," he finally said. "We can't afford the delays while we assemble and train scout battalions. Let the colonists take their chances if they encounter hostile native wildlife."
Yachimodo nodded.
"It shall be done as you say."

Who Has the Ball?
I have heard this rumor, that people are supposed to be either posting here when they send a turn on, or sending an email to the whole group. I have recieved nothing by email regarding who has the turn (so far as I know, Arima still has it). Could we please keep the group notified when the turns move on?

Well, I have a feeling that the turn is still with Arima. I have not received my 2110 turn from him yet and he has been missing from another game for a few days as well.
Hopefully, he is just off on vacation or work and forgot to announce his absence, but we may need to start thinking of a replacement if too much more time passes.

Well, I am not sure what the protocol is, but it is coming up on a week without a turn from Arima. I am having fun with this game and would hate to see it stall.
I realize that Googlie is already subbing for Christmann, but perhaps he will be kind enough to play Arima's current turn (2110) and if Arima is still missing when the next turn rolls around, we may want to seek a replacement.

I've e-mailed Arima to nag at him
Ironwood, as a failsafe could you e-mail me his 2110 turn - if I haven't heard by midday tomorrow I'll play it just to unfreeze the game. Arima can then pick it up again at 2111.

2110 to Archbishop Arima
"Sir. The loyalty of the independant units is in some question. They are apparently wandering far afield, 'exploring' or some such nonsense."
"What? Recall them immediately! We must keep a closer watch on them. Send out the recently produced units, the ones with ties to particular bases. They are more expendible anyway."

2111 to Lady SITS
More information has appeared on the myseterious monumnet in UN Headquarters, which seems to be more of a computer display of some sort. Our recent triumph --completion of our first base facility in the form of Recycling Tanks at UN Headquarters --is now immortalized on this monument along with record of our first tech breakthrough. Oddly enough, thus triumph too seems to be a tie with the Provost's learned minions: The University also completed their first base facility this year.

2111 to Qantaga
Excellent news: The rover unit that was attacked has resumed contact with home base.
Issue recall orders. We cannot risk our forces, not when we are so few.
Issue orders to the garrisons for increased preparedness. If things go well, next year we will rename our cities. We wouldn't want any ... trouble.
