Invisible Units?
I am developing a scenario in which SAM units are to play a large role. It is my aim to make these units very difficult or impossible for passing enemy aircraft to see. Although I can make the unit icon for the SAM invisible, the accompanying shield is a dead giveaway of the unit's position. Does anyone have any suggestions to make the shield invisible for just this unit? Any other ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

edit the units.gif and move the two blue dots around the unit so that the shield cannot be seen. Examples of this can be found in "El Dorado (Jesus Balsinde)", "Enemy of God (Yours Truly)" "The World of Jules Verne (FW scenario)" and many others.

Well, this trick is also seen in Harlan Thompson's WW2 Pacific theater.

What I did in Rome's Fall was to create a unit which looks like a normal terrain square, and then put the shield underneith it. It works.

I haven't tried this, but maybe you could give the unit "submarine advantages"?

Goodbeer, that would make the unit unable to see or attack units on land.
