Map Editor

Okay all you HEX editors out there, well, maybe 3....

Anyway, I wanna know if there is a way to make a map bigger through HEX editing. Is that even remotely possible. I've tried to figure it out, but alas, I'm not familiar enough with it to have much luck. Maybe one of you (3...) will stumble onto something and get rich and famous, or not...
