Is there still Infinite movement on railroads?
I don't think there should be.

Agree wholeheartedly! I keep my thumbs crossed on a fixed (but player-editable) move-radius, regardless land-unit and without any move-attrition.

Seeing as they are canceling or limiting the RR movement within enemy borders, it would be logical to conclude that they are also cutting limited road movement.

I surely hope they limit the movements. A rifleman on a train outspeeds a stealth fighter? Nah...

The 'Stealh fighter' anomaly won't be present in Civ 3, as airstrikes are handled in a more realistic manner. And yes, I believe it's reasonable to assume a military unit can be hauled a pretty decent distance in a 1-5 year timespan. Together with the new controversial 'no RR movement in occupied territory' the RR model should hold up nicely.

idea
Why not 1/8th of a movement point? In other words, a super fast road! Or perhaps 1/6th.

agree wholeheartedly

anyway, i do... the train system should work like the airplane operation range.. the unit can move to any square (b) within radius (x) connected to square (a)
