That's a picture of a German invasion of Belgium, so I'd say it covers a world war. Given the lack of tanks and aircraft and the uniforms the units are wearing, I'd say World War One

Is this gonna cover the whole war? IIRC someone's already making a Guns of August scenario...

the only problem with guns of august was that kull ran into some desing problems and was deciding how to redesing the whole thing. since his poll, we've heard nothing. it might die in the cradle if it isn't released before civ3 comes out

Hobbes, how much more work do you have to do on the scenario?

Case, I have completed most of the graphics (still need to do the icons), and most of the cities are placed (still need to do the French). No events yet, and I may want to make a few more interesting units.
The Civs:
Germany- tannish/grey
Belgium- yellow
France- blue
Holland- orange
Britain- pink
The British aren't playable (neither is the lowcountries, but I might make Belgium playable), however you can buy British tanks and planes, just like in that Israel scenario. Also, the French will control three British port cities, that build only British infantry, to be shipped to France.
I've got a few spots for units left, and I need suggestions on interesting units!

That really sounds nice!!
The idea of buying british units sounds interesting!
If possible, post some more screenshots, because the artwork in the first one is really looking cool
Btw: If you need playtesters, I'm there!

Looks GREAT!
Excellent gfx. I love the Renault (?) tank.
But how do you handle the frontline? Is it static all the time? but changing it would require lots of events, or do you ahve another idea? Or do you use it as a basic frontline for the whole war, and the player should "break through" to win?

Oh, and for suggestions we need to know what units are already in...
Do you have a Fokker Triplane, Sopwith Camel, SE5? Zeppelin? British Mark I - V tanks of course, perhaps some German A7 at the end? Some nice armoured cars (once I saw a pic of an armoured Rolls Royce Silver Ghost )...

Wow! That looks supurb!
How about some naval units? I don't think that Battleships operated in the area your map covers, but there were numerous clashes between German and Allied destroyers and submarines.

yeah put the subs and destroyers in i assume you have some kind of transport ship? Then if your the german player you could try to stop the british troops getting to france. and by the way the Royal navy should have so many more ships than the germans

I have a few WWI ships and ground units that I did for the Turtledove scenario and for two other WWI scenarios that I gave up on (Verdun and the Guns of August).

Here's everything I've got. Please note that most of them weren't drawn by me.
I'll support Scott's self promotion - his WW1 ships are very nice.
To fill up some empty sapce I added an armoured car as well. I don't know who made it

Here we go...
Most of these I drew "for the hell of it", so I won't be offended if some of them appear in a scenario by someone else before I use them.

Hobbes, since the Germans had only a few own tanks, they often used captured Mark tanks, perhaps they could have some via events? Or they could have armoured cars instead...

Scot, you just solved my problem of being short of units for 'The Cruel Sea 2.0'
I think I'll add the Cario Duilio class

Wowee! Great Ships Guys!
BeBro, sounds like a good idea with the captured tanks and armoured cars.
Shaka, I need to do the two last events parts (their's four all together) from my Zulu scenario, and some tweaking, then I'm done. School is cuttin' out my scenario building hours!!

I can relate to that. I think that I'll have to quit university if I'm to finish 'The Cruel Sea 2.0' before Civ 3 comes out
