Kyller (now ixnay37)'s Big Ol' Compilation: Leaders thru the ages
Well, I was bored this afternoon, so I decided to go through lots of screenshots and movies to try and find as many different pics of leaders throughout the different ages, and here is what I came up with. From left to right: Ancient, Renaissance, Industrial, Modern. I had to guess on some of these, correct me if I am wrong. Any clearer or newer pics would be appreciated. So, here is:
Hammurabi (Babylonians)
Cleopatra (Egyptians)
Alexander (Greeks)
Mao (Chinese)
edit: added Renaissance Hammurabi (thank you Alexander01)
Added industrial Mao (thank you Alexander01)
Replaced industrial Mao with clearer image
Added Industrial Cleopatra
Added MUCH clearer Renaissance Hammurabi
AARRGG! I accidentally deleted my attatchment and I can't get it back! Use this link for the picture further down in this thread.

Also, I'd put the image of Bismark that you currently have as "modern" under "industrial age".

Last suggestion: The Gandhi image under "industrial" should be "modern"; Gandhi's outfit looks like his real-world attire, and the 1940s are "modern", IMHO.
Good job, by the way.

OK, can anyone get me a screen capture from the pre-order video of ancient Joan of Arc? It's at 4:02 into the video. When I try to get it, it copies a picture of the player with a blank space where the video should be.

A renaissance Hammurabi? Look at the lower left corner of this pic.
By the way, perhaps with the modern Hammurabi they are attempting to capture the essence of the modern-day angry middle-easterner. He looks fiendish enough.

I also think the Mao may be the renaissance one in this pic, and yours may be the ancient - the hats are slightly different and the backgrounds totally diverse.
That pic came from civ3.com, after a new post in August.
This pic has a better renaissance Xerxes (I think the civ-of-the-week Xerxes with the hat similar to Hammurabi's is the ancient one, as that was the actual type of crown worn by Darius and Xerxes.) It also has the an ancient or renaissance Montezuma. Whoops - it won't let me edit a pic in, so I'll post it separately.
P.S. I think the new defeat screen Gandhi may be the industrial one, if you can get your hands on it.

I think I'll keep the renaissance Mao and add this one as industrial - he is wearing a funny shaped hat that other renaissance leaders seem to be wearing. I'll also look into the industrial Gandhi.

Here's the better Xerxes and additonal Montezuma pic I spoke of.
It's got every leader except for a conspicuously missing Alexander.

Here's the industrial Gandhi I spoke of and a slightly more pleasant Catherine.
By the way, Kyller, you're going to post these new pics, aren't you?
(Keeping you busy? )
Edit - Sorry, missed the pic again - I'll get it.

Finally!
Also, your Catherines are mixed up. I think your renaissance should be industrial (she looks like Victoria) and you industrial should be ancient. Renaissance Catherine should be her in a powdered white wig with frou-frou costume - her "natural" appearance.

This is a great idea! Thanks, Kyller!
And Catherine dressed like a French maid? I'm glad I'm a few centuries too late to witness that myself.

Actually, if you look closely, Abe's BG changes subtely. Outside of the window, it changes from an open field to renaissance buildings to the U.S. Capitol. Sorry the pictures aren't any bigger.

Ghandi
I'm curious as to why one of the Ghandis has nasty looking boils on his head. He looks desicated and about to die. Is it "Cadaver Ghandi"? "VD Ghandi"? The real Ghandi was supposed to be obsessed with bowel movements...this one looks like a BM could bring about his death.
If Catherine shows up with those ugly boils, then we'll know there is an alliance between the Indians and Russians in place! Ugh! Those two, with Liz being an arguable vote, are the ugliest leaders in this game.

I think that it's because the Gandhi in question comes off of the "Defeat" screenshot. Joan (the player's leader) looks beat up 'cause she lost. Maybe Gandhi was also defeated?

I'll wager that India was allied with France and got beaten with them - though Gandhi isn't the human player, so he's not all bandaged up like Joan (or in hte center). Joan was defeated, and Gandhi, her ally, though not eliminated, was badly thrashed. Notice that everyone else is pleased.

Though you have most of these already, this might be helpful for larger/clearer images of some of them:

Uhhhh, don't know about anyone else, but the only 'new/updated' picture I see is the one Kyller/ixnay posted at the bottom.
