Didn't have time to turn-post before Sam played the turn...now that's good, let's keep it up!

Turn Complete
No problem with the posts...it's only a pain if the game gets lost and noone knows where it is. At this pace it's fine. Apolyton's site gets notoriously slow, even for those of us with cable modems.

2113 to Sam
What a pace guys! We lucked out that we all can play so frequently. I hope it continues, and remember, if you forsee being away, consider having someone take your turns (Googlie or otherwise). Hey, I just built a CP..I just love Morgan.

Turn 2113 sent to the Hive about 13 hours ago (forgot to post here)
I will be away from the 19th (afternoon) to the 23rd (afternoon) and will not be able to play this game or SGSS-4. I suppose we should find a temporary replacement.

Both SSGS-7 and 4 passed to Sam.
We only need one thread if we pass both games together.
Googlie could probably play your turns for you during that time, unless you want us to wait? I'm fine either way.

Sorry if not posting my turn has upset anyone. My excuse is the same as gooeyblobs; sometimes this page takes over 2 minutes to load. I'll try and squeeze it in in future. Anyway I'm annoyed, I haven't received a turn in almost 8 hours.

turns to Sam...great pace guys, I'm astounded!
Ah, my nic address is still the same 114.45.
No really, my nickname, or 'handle' as we call it, 'Smack' was just a name I chose as a placeholder when I first came to Apolyton in April. I had no idea I'd be a regular poster. I grew tired of it's cheap play on Smac, so I changed it to my current name. Can you translate my name from Latin?
-Smack

I'm fine with going with email, but it's nice to post unusual circumstances here, such as vactation, or building the VW...

As Jason and I both said we will use e-mail for turn reporting if that is ok (no one has indicated otherwise). I agree vacations should be reported here, but then Sam did that anyway. I don't see the problem.
Anyway do we have to report wonder building, or was that a joke?

On a related note (and to perhaps get more mileage out of the thread ) playing against faceless minions is strange. I remember reading somewhere that Smac was a teacher, I think, but I think it would be nice to know a little about fellow players. I'll start, I'm 23, I live in the Uk, and I'm a ph.d student in economics at the university of Southampton.

E-mail is fine with me if no one objects.
A little about myself: I am 19 and am studying Computer Engineering in Texas, USA. I enjoy computer programming, using Linux, and playing guitar (and playing SMAC of course).
