crashing in multiplayer when starting a war?
Hi there-
about 80% of the time i do some action which would have me declare war on another civ (other player or not) the game crashes with an illegal operation. Activision says they don't support internet play
I'm not running any mods or anything, got the 1.11 patch on. Anyone else ran into this or found a fix? thank you!

OMG, i have had to cancel two mp games cause of this error. I dont think its got to do with war but in somesituations declaring war will make it crash as u said.
I am still looking for the solution.
Are u in the modrn age?

Actually I've recently lost many games because they just won't go any further without crashing or I can't declare war without crashing.
Last one happened tonight during the computers turn. Best I can guess, the computer is declaring war and it crashes. In order to avoid that, I tried declaring war myself on the suspect AI, and the game crashed. a few turns before that, declaring war didn't cause a problem.
Since Activision has basically told me I'm on my own, I guess I'll just wait till the end of the month and get civ3, deleting ctp2 forever.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this bug, please tell me....

We noticed, that multiplayer games are more robust, when everybody has a fully zoomed in map (press + + + + + +).
Does that help? Does somebody have similar experience?
