Personal log, Col. Northswordsman:

Finally, contact made with another faction. I have initated contact with Comm. Gregurabi in the hopes that he and I can agree on a truce, at least. Going back to our conversations onboard the Unity, I found him reasonable, if a bit misguided on ideals. I hope we can reach a compromise, and perhaps, some trade, which would not hurt. I am particularly anxious to acquire the commlinks of other factions if at all possible.

Spartan News Net Special Report:

The Peacekeeping faction and the Spartans have signed a Peace Treaty, along with an exchange of Planetary Data and other information. I sincerely hope this treaty prospers both sides equally. It is good to confirm that we are not the only successful and prosperous survivors of Humanity on this odd world. Oh, we had rumors, and hints of contact, but to confirm that other factions were doing well... that is another whole ball game. We do have reports that there is another faction nearby. We shall have to locate them.

Personally, it was good to see the Commissioner doing well. He looks like he has weathered the years nicely. Sad to see that he still holds to his misguided ideals, but I would rather have him nearby than some others, such as the unethical Zakharov. Who wants a madman inventing all sorts of unholy things nearby to spring on us unawares?

Somehow the dates got mixed up, and going back through my sent/discard files, I found that I haven't played the right one. My apologies. I went on vacation, playing from a relative's computer.. apparently I somehow got some files mixed up. The correct year is 2158... and the place is Planet.
I am playing 2158 now, which I haven't played before, then I will send it to Greg. My apologies again everyone. Vacation time is chaotic for me... :-(.

Well, the ship that died was a probe foil I sent out for exploration/contact. I hardly expect a foilprobe team to survive a IOD contact,

I do expect PK tastes better due to our naturally higher morale. Strength always overocmes humanism.

The IoD was injured, so it must have fought something tougher than a Probe Foil. I assumed it was a Spartan ship, but perhaps there's another faction in the water near me. Hmm.
